That Whatsapp button is very annoying and can’t be removed. It feels like every app has a „helpful“ chatbot now that sits in the corner, occasionally telling you it exists. They really want everyone to use it. DDG at least gives you options to completely disable it.

But I agree it’s not a red flag for me, especially if I can hide it.

I also much prefer my robot to not send a live camera feed to some Chinese server. So even if Lidar were to be less good I’d opt for that.

But a VR headset wouldn’t if it were used. It’s just a saying anyways.

My experience with two different brands is that ACC is unable to detect static objects. Its only strength is detecting moving vehicles in front of you. So even if you come to a stoplight with cars already waiting there, it will just continue going. Other systems must then engage emergency breaking if they detect something but at regular speeds that would be too late.

And it’s right that this is the conversation because Apple needs to learn people want to be in control and these things need to be opt-in. They can build the most sophisticated fancy system to protect your privacy, if it’s sending your stuff to another server it needs to ask for permission full stop.
