I have degoogled Chromium installed because some things only work in a chrome browser. However it’s a special use case and I would barely notice if ublock was gone. I wouldn’t use it as a main browser anyway.

The line has to go up. That is literally the law. The fact that Youtube has a larger income than Disney doesn’t mean it will stop. They can never stop. They just can crash and burn down eventually but only after making a few people very very rich.

Internet Browsers store way too much data and have waaaay too many permissions. It’s sickening.

Where else would you get Palestinian Children blood sauce to dip your McNuggies in?
I really don’t know how people can stomach that crap.

On one hand fuck AI on the other hand McDonald’s customers don’t deserve any better.

Funny how the internet went to shit when protocols were thrown out of the window and companies instead used their financial weight to ‘solve’ everything.

chairman/CEO says…
Yawn. I’m also pretty sure I’ve read this headline months ago already.

No can do. Governments will ask them for age verification. Valve will instead swiftly remove anything with kinky dialogue and move on. True story by the way. Happened in Germany and no, it had nothing to do with protecting customers on Steam’s side because the age verification process authorities asked for protects your identity. Valve simply didn’t want to deal with it. To be fair it was a bullshit demand anyway but Sony didn’t seem to have any problems implementing it so this is a Valve thing.

In most cases it’s a blatant lie. A lie he helped to perpetuate.

Yep. Remember when he said nobody should learn how to code anymore with a shit eating grin on his face because it was good for Nvidia’s stock price at the time?

Okay I still won’t use it.

It seems to me not even profits matter to them. Just control and power.

Such a hassle when Xitter is right there and lets them spread propaganda without any hacking.

Krafton isn’t just publishing Inzoi, it founded the entire studio. If you work there you work for Krafton. And honestly it shows in the sloppy product.

Shouldn’t there be a Steam EULA or something that overwrites BS like this? I don’t know. I’m genuinely curious if that holds up. If developers really can terminate your license willy-nilly and damage Valve’s reputation by doing so. Because it would sound like a PR nightmare for the store front too.

And if we’re not ignoring the privacy concerns these use cases are definitely not worth putting everyone in front of you under this form of surveillance for a US tech giant and ultimately the US government. The price for society to pay is way too high.

On one hand this is an elegant solution that is already in use in Germany for years, if companies want to implement it that is. But I think only Sony’s Playstore uses it. Or so I have heard. No US company wants to use it and I am sure they will lobby to get more data from users than a token if this gets rolled out EU wide. I am skeptical about this.
This amount of surveillance has a really disturbing track record in history. So assuming any politician backing this must be a fascist at heart is the correct approach. These politicians should not be in any position to make any of these decisions. They can’t represent democracy when they declare themselves the enemies of it.
