    It won’t matter insurance companies aren’t writing policies for boats sailing through the straight anyway. Shits about to get even more real for gulf states and asia. China will not be happy about this.

    Presumably it’s cheaper to go around Africa, so that would just be a blockade with extra steps.

      There is a lot of rich US colonies who export and import a lot, as the only viable path. KSA can go to red sea, but to deliver to asia, They would avoid “Houti controlled straight” and go suez then around Africa. Very long trip.
