If there’s one thing Japan loves, it is economical competition. There are like 40 different ways to pay at a shop, it’s absurd.
And yet everyone will pay with cash.

It’s almost like Japanese boomers keep maintaining the status quo at the expense of younger generations.
That’s hardly a bad thing unless you can’t use the most common way (e.g. paying by credit/debit card) in shops.
With that many options, it’s your bad if the card doesn’t work. Wow haha
