A little latitude for people behaving like normal human beings would be better. If the requirement for posting here is that everyone have the intellect and consistent principles of Huey Newton then you’re going to be very busy mods.

I honestly don’t even notice which instance I’m in. I don’t mean to start an argument or derail. I just don’t see what you hope to achieve with this tone policing “policy”.
If you don’t know what instance you’re on, then I must seem schizophrenic to you, because @davel@lemmygrad.ml can sound very different from @davel@lemmy.ml.
It’s not really a threat since we do it all the time. lemmy.ml is neither lemmygrad.ml nor hexbear.net.
