I’m sure the car did actually take the action. But there are TONS of unavoidable warnings and reminders to the driver to supervise and take control when FSD goes wrong.

I had a model I can’t remember which was an emergency replacement from my OnePlus 3T years ago, then two G Powers of… Some years, then my Pixel 5a and then 8, and now a Razr 2024.

All of which can be disabled.

I mean, you’re getting a lot of downvotes, but I’ve gone Motorola -> Motorola -> Motorola -> Pixel -> Pixel -> Motorola.

Both my Pixels died in less than a year. Each had battery life which, while it did improve over a few weeks as Pixel’s optimization stuff took hold, never reached an entire day. Both were unacceptably fragile. Both failed randomly, just out of warranty.

And the Motorola I’m using now has none of those problems, was cheaper, is faster, has a better battery, has a better screen, and in some ways is more customizable (fuck that unmovable search bar).

Like, really. Motorola is a sleeper brand. Not perfect, but damn good.

Here’s the thing.

The last 10 years have proven that organized online hostility is VERY EFFECTIVE at dictating public opinion.

That’s how we got the new fascist movements. Trump and the like. Because right wing hostility and bigotry went not only unchecked institutionally but unchallenged socially.

No solution has emerged for that from an institutional level.

So yeah, my socialist ass is fighting back. I’ll be damned if I’m going to spend the rest of my life under these fucking wastes of flesh and their bullshit antiquated opinions. A Model 3 from early 2024 really feels 5-10 years behind a 2026 Kia or Hyundai at this point.
