I ended my sub and deleted my account when they announced they’d be replacing their contract workers with AI.
Lingonaut looks promising. And I’ve been trying out Language Transfer for Spanish. I’ve learned more about how Spanish “works” in an hour of Language Transfer than I did with months of Duolingo. I’m smacking myself for wasting the time - though I do enjoy the gamification.
It’s the University’s responsibility to act when students make reports of hurtful comments coming from a position of power.
If Negy wanted to spew his hate - he could have gone and sat his ass on the Free Speech lawn. Not his lecture hall.

Secondly, I’m not gonna comment on the legality or what is protected under 1st amendment- it’s not my expertise. Negy is a piece of shit and everyone I knew who had him as a professor was glad he was gone. His hateful comments weren’t reserved for twitter - he said that shit during his lectures. I also suspect his tweets were a stunt to drum up sales for a book he published around the same time. It’s so easy to sell to conservative morons. Just say some inappropriate things, cry like a baby when the consequences of your actions appear, then hold out your hand as hicks, the sexually repressed, and just plain assholes come flocking to empty their wallets for you.
1·8 个月前If I had a nickel for every time someone has whined that you need to self host this, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but still noteworthy because this is literally a self-host community.
You can on any iOS device without jailbreaking. Look into AltStore or Sidestore. The caveat is that you can only sign 3 apps at a time, and must resign these apps every week - which is done over your WiFi to a PC running AltStore server.
If you have a $99/year Apple developer account, you can use AltStore to sign as many apps as you like, and you only need to resign once per year.
The icon and hover to reveal previous title has been available in the extension for a long while.
