Am I weird for mistaking this for “bookmarks from the year 1679” and thinking that was the point of the meme?
yes! Please seed more on i2p!
Can you elaborate on how your backup script re-deploys on new hardware? Sounds very nice to have.

Before I read this article, I also thought it would be a great idea to get rid of timezones entirely and just use UTC for everything. To quote from the link, (please forgive me for being lazy and not formatting it correctly)
Abolishing time zones brings many benefits, I hope. It also:
As long as humans live in more than one part of the world, solar time is always going to be subjective. Abolishing time zones only exacerbates this problem.
just fyi, I live in Taiwan, and people never get into trouble for saying that. don’t lecture me on how to behave in my homeland. now I know you didn’t know I lived here, but just maybe, maybe you should refrain from saying stuff you don’t know well enough about
Taiwan is its own country. I will never understand why some people outside China insist that Taiwan is a part of China.
I installed it one week ago after getting a new Pixel 8. Loving it so far.
No. It actually is named Arya. they are just pointing out how similar it is to Aryan

Why does everyone talk about port forwarding when it comes to Mullvad and seeding? When I tried out Mullvad and torrenting last month I was able to seed just fine. Is there something I’m missing?
Genuine question: If I use a cryptocurrency such as Monero for its privacy benefits (only for spending, not as an investment), am I indirectly making crypto mining more profitable and hurting the environment?
ps. I don’t use any crypto yet.
Edit: actually I don’t care that much about private money. What if I were to just use some crypto because it’s convenient? Would that be bad?
I’ve been trying out Floorp for a few days now. It’s a great browser but honestly I don’t see that much of a difference compared to regular Firefox. If I had to pick, my favorite feature from Floorp would be the fact that it packages changes that would normally reuuire fiddling with userChrome.css
into simple toggles in about:preferences. I especially like how it makes hiding the horizontal tab bar so easy when I use Tree Style Tabs. That being said, I have fully switched over anyways.
Hello there fellow Jet Lag enjoyer.

The year is 4 digits. This is just an age confirmation dialog asking for your birthday on a sketchy website, so I’m pretty sure the date won’t be displayed later.
I tried to preach why Google sharing your browsing history with ad partners is bad, but most of my friends don’t seem to care. :(
It’s conforting that I wasn’t the only one who found this concerning. But anyways I don’t have Google (the app; I do have some other Google services installed) or Gemini installed.
