I remember a study from a few decades ago that said pirates are often spending MORE on media than non-pirates, because they’re able to branch out and experiment with more media, then buy the media, instead of sticking to what they know and just buying the same old shit. if you want self hosted, FreshRSS is the gold standard.

nothing wrong with yunohost. We all started out as noobs at one point in time. My advice though: Don’t think that’s the end point. Branch out when you have motivation/time/etc, and see what happens. The best way to learn is to break shit, then have to fix it. at least IMHO

Yup. The first thing i do when i get a new machine/reinstall MacOS/iOS is to change it from google. Fuck google so fucking hard. Anyone who uses Google deserves what they get knowing how much of a shitstain company they are. Apple isn’t that much better, but they are slightly, SLIGHTLY better.

Be wary of oracle free tier. They’re known to just delete your vps for no reason.

there’s Tunarr and DizqueTV. I have not used either, so I don’t know. But I don’t believe Tunarr is as feature rich as Ersatz. The biggest thing stopping me from trying it is the lack of smart collections. I use them a LOT with Ersatz.

It’s not side loading. It’s installing software on the device you probably paid multiple thousands for that you no longer own.
