I guess they don’t consider it bluesky defeating twitter if twitter is commiting suicide. Sounds like pedantry to me.

Everyone on .ml is a tankie. Everyone on .world is a fascist. Lemmy loves its serverism, unfortunately.
People can’t comprehend that different people can have different opinions, apparently. There needs to be an easier explanation for it such as “tankie” or “fascist”. “Idiot/ignorant” is a much more believable explanation,.imo
Rural US most likely. Place is too big, too few people to be worth for comoanies to invest. So many places only have 1-2 providers at best, afaik.
Sorry I’m off work now so won’t waste my free time to reply to that. Bottom line is: I believe you’re repeating russian propaganda and since I’ve actually spoken to other Russians and even Ukranians affected by the war, and since I believe actions speak louder than words (Georgia, Transnistria, Chechnya, Ukraine, etc), I don’t believe a word you’re saying.
You believe your history, I’ll believe mine.
Well, yeah, if you’re the sort of person that thinks bucha was not that big of a deal because there’s people living there now, then you also believe that the us decides what happens in ukraine and it’s why those people are fighting. They’re us slaves dying for western imperialism. Ofc if we were arguing that, yeah I’d want the us to let the ukranians surrender and allow russia to regroup so they can find another reason a few years later to come back as they’ve been doing for the past 30 years.
Yeah, but what about what the US did somewhere else?! Yeah, that’s also bad, never said it wasn’t. Two wrong don’t make a right. And you saying it could’ve been worse is disgusting. Doesn’t change the facts. Also, ofc the infrastructure was less affected in a pretty much defenseless town raped and slaughtered by russians than in other places where there was actual combat. At least try and think for yourself, c’mon.
Because you claimed that russia can wage brutal wars but they haven’t so far, that they have showed restraint. And all the videos of hospitals and schools and residential buildings and Bucha, etc. Prove otherwise.
And no need to ask questions because I already know all the answers, I’ve read putin’s version of the history, I don’t need to hear it from you as well.
The funny part is how obvious your lies are. Unless you think all the death and destruction in Ukraine is not actually that but just western propaganda… Which you probably do, based on your post history.
Tldr: lol, tankie!
How do you know what the limits of this technology is? How do you know that they couldn’t be able to reach that point in 5-10-20-50-100-1000 years?
Unless you’re thinking of the current iteration of the technology and not its future evolutions.
Ok, sure.
"Suicide isn’t “awesome,” and “good on her for sticking it out” in the context of suicide would pass as ironic edgelord humor 20 years ago on 4chan.
It’s terrifying that the exact same action, when done in a way that’s “clean” and legal makes people say things like that that presumably nobody would say otherwise. Setting up a legal pathway for suicide doesn’t change what it is."
Yeah, the admitting it’s suicide is the only thing you have an issue with. Nah, you have an issue with all of it, you just wanna argue your way around it. Anyway, have a nice day.
You’re the only one arguing that it’s not. It’s in the name that everyone agrees with. “assisted suicide”. Yes, it’s suicide, we’re all agreeing on that. And ofc having a legal alternative is preferable because as we’ve established, it’s better for everyone if it’s done this way.
The thing with suicide is that there’s always at least a second person. If you do it the assisted way, you do it with people trained and willing to do it to help you. If you do it the old fashioned way, you traumatize the person that ends up finding you in whichever place you decided to do it. And then there’s an ambulance or some other service that comes to pick up the body, etc.
Assisted suicide is better for everyone involved. There’s no question about it. As others have said. There’s no reason why we see euthanasia as humane but not assisted suicide. It’s the same. Even more humane because the human can consent, the pet can’t.
Wow, so many links and so much effort just to say: “enemy super smart and powerful that creates world-wide misinformation and controls the world”, but then they’re also super stupid and sends a “CIA agent” to do an ama on reddit. Fascism 101, isn’t it?
Psyop is a big word. Overblown, maybe, but definitely not a psyop. Just because there’s no evidence that they’re getting murdered doesn’t mean what’s happening is ok.
People are more likely just uniformed, like the vast majority of people everywhere. And it’s easy to distrust america when they’re all over the news with their fucked up stuff. And despite all that they’re still above 50% with russia and china not much higher, so… Whatever.
Because when you give most people the choice of convenience vs privacy, they’ll choose the thing that they can feel 99 times out of 100(convenience ). Most people don’t care about metadata because first of all they have no idea that’s even a thing, let alone what it does. And they’re not visibly affected by it. The difference between using signal and Whatsapp for the vast majority of people is the fact that one is green and has everyone you know on it and the other is blue and nobody besides me uses it.
But, if you give signal the convenience of being able to use it with everyone, then the choice becomes “do I wanna use this app that my friend is saying is spying on me or do I wanna use the secure, hacker app?”
And hopefully, more and more people will switch and we can be rid of fucking meta
Yes, because the first guy who lit a fire on purpose was like: “you want warm? You give food! Else fuck off!”

Ah, okay then. Have a nice day :)
Which apple product doesn’t have a chaper alternative?
Hey, so I’ve got no horse in this race and also not a native English speaker so please bear with me.
To me the op’s statement sounds ironic, but not really a projection. According to google, to project is to unconsciously attribute your thoughts/feelings onto someone else. Like if you’re having an argument and you’re losing and as a self defense you claim that the other party is angry and or unreasonable or whatever.
In this case the cybertruck owner says the guy shaming him should be shamed. He doesn’t realise that it’s him who should feel shame, so it’s ironic.
Am I missing something? Or was it all just some joke and I’m just overthinking it?
Or is the guy being downvoted because he’s being an ass, not because he’s wrong?
