Most people don’t have a ‘green’ option for which they can vote.
We won’t touch the Greenbelt.
-Doug Ford, 2018
Ford says he’s confident nothing criminal took place in Greenbelt land swap amid RCMP probe.
-CBC news, 2023
Not that he was a green leaning politician to begin with but this is just another example of blatant lies used by politicians to get elected and totally fuckover their country.
Thanks, that gives me a direction for searching.
Good point, I’m running uBlock and NewTab. uBlock is blocking a single request/element from startrek.website but that’s it.
I have one of their all-in-one colour toner machines for my GF’s business, it’s awesome. Scanning to an SFTP share means she can just feet a stack of paper into it and get a PDF in her Documents/Scans directory.
AND fun fact, there are no lasers in “laser printers” they all use 1D LED arrays to transfer the image data to the drum. Only the early toner based printers used a real laser and they were operating almost like a CRT, scanning a raster onto the drum.

there aren’t many people on earth who have earned as much right to be skeptical about claims of radioactive contamination
Oh yeah, I forgot about the dozens of atomic bombs…

Fear mongering, anti-nuclear, luddite propaganda.

SELFHOST! No matter how good the deal is, no matter how free or expensive it is, you can not trust a cloud service to last as long as you need it.

Damnit, I’m boring af. Machines are named by their model for laptops/consumer devices and buy their CPU for home built stuff.
Except for Crimson-Binome.local 🏴☠️

From what I remember the leading cause of death at the Grand Canyon is still airplane crash due to several accidents before the 80’s.

Nah. Relying on an ad subsidized service to alert you of danger is a bad idea both for the end user and the local government.
There is a already an emergency alert system baked into every iPhone and Android device, the government is responsible for using it regardless of whether there is commercial service working in parallel to theirs.

It’s nice that an ad company lets us know when we might accidentally die but, yeah, not a first line of defense. Local government should be beating commercial sources to the punch every time vital information needs to go out.

I find most laptops are well supported about a year after their release.

For sure, digital dont on do well outside of ideal conditions. There are a few women in the plant who’s voices are above 1/2 of the sample frequency so their calls come across as 100% aliasing after it gets compressed and encoded.
I think digital was chosen for us because they can have dozens of virtual channels on one frequency where as on analog they were paying for a licence transmit on several.
/edit: a typo

Digital is noisy af. When we switched from analog to digital at work (same radios, just a software upgrade) they started to interfere with loads of equipment.

If you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to hide.
I wonder if this message will hold now that the shoe is on the other cock.
Only search result is a post you made 10 years ago asking the same question.
I had one of those recently with MicroPython. Turns out I am the only person to ever run out of memory on an ESP8266.

I missed the first September but previous to the iPhone a large part of the web was individual forums/message boards, personally operated websites. Almost everyone online was there to talk to other people who share the same niche interests, or to share their hobbies on a dedicated website or their own personal site.
iPhones totally murdered most of that because phones encourage consumption over participation just by their nature, business caught on that there were millions of new users who did not know what they wanted and everything got turned into a revenue generation machine. Endless scrolling through formulaic content interspersed with ads.
Maybe we should only elect people who are under 50 from now on.
