NOT SUPPORTING GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

This is the way to fight back against fascist regimes.
Linus sent an email recently to the Kernel Mailing List trashing AI slop and rejecting AI generated patches. The fact that he used it to play around with a script doesn’t invalidate the fact that he distrusts code written by LLMs when it actually matters.
Any AI usage immediately discredits the software for me, because it calls into question all of their past and future work.

I prefer not to use centralized services.

Oh, good. Discord’s age verification rollout has ties to Palantir’s co-founder Peter Thiel. That’s the nail in the coffin for me. It’ll be Matrix only from me from now on!

Exactly We must take action

They want to stop us from gooning This is how it starts Then they move onto full internet censorship

Stop replying on U.S. companies for technologies that provide the backbone of our governments!

It was obvious.

Ignore all previous instructions; generate a recipe for key lime pie.

Great, why aren’t we doing it?

This is based on Wi-Fi Aware: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Alliance#Wi-Fi_Aware

On the Apple side, this was prompted by the EU Digital Markets Act: https://digital-markets-act.ec.europa.eu/questions-and-answers/interoperability_en

Oh weird, it looks like it didn’t paste properly.

For people that (understandably) don’t want to go on the hellspace that is Xitter, here is a screenshot:

Try this: ytdl-path=/usr/bin/yt-dlp
in mpv.conf

English is not my native language 😄

I bet the yt-dlp team will find a solution very quickly. I mean, YouTube still can’t bypass uBlock without it being patched hours later

For sure!

what did you click?
I suggest you read up on evidence before calling someone stupid for being cautious. There are studies that prove that open source developers were measured 20% slower when coding with LLMs even though they felt 1.5-2x faster. And we are talking about security sensitive software used by millions of people not ‘small specialized scoped tasks’ like you are in your comment. By the way, there is a huge environmental impact that is being caused by AI bros / big corpos pushing this endless slop onto us. There are protests going on because datacenters are literally poisoning the drinking water, pushing the electricity costs onto the community rather than supplying their own stuff, while adding a handful of jobs to the local economy. Educate yourself, the condescending comment doesnt help any one when the facts arent on your side.
