World News@lemmy.ml•“I will be damned if I’m going to give another nickel to the Netanyahu government” - Bernie Sanders
17·2 years agoYeah, it’s a big reason why I think civil disobedience is making a comeback.
People are realizing the government doesn’t exist for them; it exists for the ruling class. That’s not how it should work and we don’t have to play by the rules they make for us.

This isn’t difficult, or complicated.

10·2 years agoThey don’t care about losing customers to piracy just like fast-food restaurants don’t care about losing people to grocery stores.
They’ve realized it’s more profitable to take further advantage of an ever-shrinking pool of customers.
If you can charge 1 customer twice the price of what you could charge 2, then you make more money because you require less overhead.

575·2 years agoFor smart people, piracy is a financial problem.
Why pay more for things you can get for free? It’s not like the businesses you’re supporting wouldn’t rob you blind if they thought they could get away with it.
Even the ‘creators’ don’t get the vast majority of the money you spend; their landlords do. When they make more money, rent goes up.
I wish this generation wasn’t full of useful idiots with more money than sense.

I think it’s so fucking stupid how it it always defaults to “similar questions” instead of just showing us the actual answers.
Just another example of throwing as much shit at an audience to drive up “engagement.”

421·2 years agoPublic or bust.
Only elitist retards think otherwise.

Your argument makes no sense.
You acknowledge progressives won’t vote for moderates. But what makes you think moderates won’t vote for progressives if they don’t have a choice?
Do you really believe the people who voted for Clinton wouldn’t have voted for Sanders in the general? If so, then shouldn’t the blame be on them too? If not, then can you admit you’re wrong?
