I sort by NEW. If the niche communities have posts they will show up.

It’s doing something in filters, but it’s hard to tell what. I think it’s filtering on text and not on community/forum. Also, if you use a shortcut key in the filter it triggers the action. “ask” worked but when I got to the n

Agreed. Niche communities can get hammered with downvotes and “I don’t want to read this” comments from readers of ALL.
It’s confounding: “show me everything”, then “I don’t like the content in your niche community”. WTF?
