The seats are haptic too. It takes forever to render the graphics apparently so maybe that’s why - not playback but rendering. Apparently After Effects will only go up to 12k?
I’m not super technical but I have been to the Sphere. It’s awesome.

Yeah because the US is the ally of my country. Geopolitically if you’re from a BRICS nation it’s not a concern. NATO and 5 eyes nations aren’t supportive of an ambitious China expanding influence and territory.

It is just common sense. Nations never do things for just one reason. Possession is 9/10ths of the law - if they fill Antarctica with their facilities they can later claim they have so many facilities they should just govern Antarctica. Not a bad strategic move in times of global warming.

My question is: What’s in giving these interviews and making these statements for him? He’s exited the role, he’s made himself clear about the stance he took when he was in the role. Why continue to talk?
When I leave a job and go somewhere new I’m not obsessed with dragging my old workplace.

Russia’s handcuffed because they’re being backed by Iran for their invasion of Ukraine.

That’s such an overly simplistic solution for a complex issue, though.
Using that logic no despotic regime should ever be in power. But they are and have been and will continue to be.
The Taliban shouldn’t be back in power in Afghanistan, and Russia should just ditch Putin. People just need to read the 2nd amendment and grab their guns, gotcha.

I think the point that people are trying to make is that Hamas terrorism isn’t representative of all Palestinian people.
I feel as though the focus should be on eradicating and arresting the terrorist cell not bombing the entire neighborhood where they live, civilians and all. Although I understand that an investigation needs to be completed to determine which group actually carried out the hospital bombing and whether it was deliberate.
I do feel as though as a westerner without formal education or study of the matter I’m not qualified to point fingers in the whole thing other than to say that one atrocity does not justify further atrocity.

The r/Canada subreddit was taken over by far right wing mods and astroturfed to all hell with Conservative nonsense and Convoy support. I found myself speaking up more and more there because it was full of homophobic, racist antivaxxers and that is not an exaggeration.

This feels like it was written by someone who has never been on Lemmy because that has not been my experience at all.
Reddit is fucking full of bots astroturfing right wing political nonsense and we’re not getting that on Lemmy because those instances are often defederated.
Or, you know, he’s one of those guys who signed up for world when he should have gone to exploding heads.

I had a hard time in another thread just convincing people that the subject of UAPs is worth any inquiry at all.
I am just chiming in because I feel that people who dismiss the topic in general will see this headline and say see nothing to see here case closed people who investigate this are crazy.
Whereas the phenomena is still very much present and should be investigated - for national security and aviation safety reasons at the very least.

The thing we aren’t exploring or talking about in mainstream discourse is that UAPs might be terrestrial and non-human.
I don’t think he has two brain cells to rub together to think. He’s repeating what warhawks have told him.
