So apparently he hasn’t replaced them yet and they are still broken.

They are VERY much still in an alpha state it seems.

My sister has a hope that they will be good at reading text or helping identify people later on in the technology but are still very much a WIP for a vision impaired tool.

I’ll be seeing him this weekend so I’ll try and lowkey ask him. It’s a somewhat recent diagnosis but I also know he broke his glasses swimming at the beach this past summer and only recently replaced them.

He doesn’t lose vision clarity per se, it’s more that his FOV in certain sections becomes much more limited before fuzzing out altogether.

Anyone have a solid epub reader on iOS? I frequently use the Books app to read my epubs since I often find myself without my ereader and don’t want to use Kindle.

They’re really quite cute! I love them.

I think part of that is because a significant number of /r/Piracy users on Reddit left because db0 was a mod there and advocated for swapping Lemmy during the API blackouts.

So I have set up my son with a pick of the litter.

He has access to pretty much any GBA game + DS game thanks to some emulator handhelds.

Additionally he plays our shared copies of Scarlet, Arceus, Let’s Go Eevee, or Sword.

So far the one he has had the most fun with are the GBA games.

Important to note, he loves the multiplayer aspect of Scarlet and Violet and really likes to do raid battles and double battles with random Pokemon he finds.

He has yet to beat a game or even fully defeat gym leaders from any game he has started.

Champions was the only slightly interesting thing about this direct. It was just so much fluff.
