I miss the days when people would just leave their wifi networks open. It was a godsend when moving into a new apartment and waiting on the cable company.

Here’s one example. Google it yourself if you’re interested in learning more.

We are currently helping people with this sort of tech

If you’re afraid of websites hosted in Russia, I have bad news for you regarding piracy.

Are you sure? I don’t see anything resembling a ‘joke’ on the site and after a quick google search it seems to be a registered 501©3 organization.

Seeing “blockchain” and “eradicating poverty” on the same page is ringing some serious alarm bells.

I think TikTok would sooner shut down US operations than sell.

Unfortunately, they can multitask

Might be a controversial opinion but I don’t think there’s a discernible difference between 320kbps mp3s and FLACs, and one of them takes up a fraction of the storage space. I have a pair of “audiophile” headphones and I can’t tell between them at all.

There’s a few safe(ish) sites. Your best bet is Fitgirl and DODI repacks, and SteamRIP. Make sure you have the correct URLs. Also check out the FMHY wiki.
Keep in mind that not everything can be 100% safe, just lower risk.

Both platforms have a chronological “following” feed. That’s the only one I look at.

Platforms like Twitter are incredibly useful for following public figures and journalists, your feed doesn’t have to be all brainrot. Having a similar platform that’s not in the hands of a billionaire freak is in the public interest.

Anna’s Archive does this. I think its a really good way to make it difficult to take them down.
Hopefully this hack starts some conversations on how they can ensure longevity for their project. Seems they’re being attacked on multiple fronts now.

It also pales in comparison to military aid given to Israel. If they’re worried about the money it’d be pretty cost effective to stop doing that.
Ive provided one in another comment.
They said “Seems unlikely [that pagers would be in the hands of doctors] considering only pagers belonging to Hezbollah had the explosives added.”
That article directly refutes that. It is heavily implied when you’re all saying “Hezbollah” you’re talking about militants. Again, it is unreasonable to suggest that workers, including doctors and nurses, that are part of the civilian arm of Hezbollah’s de facto government are fair targets in either morality or international law.
Hezbollah, the de facto government of large parts of Lebanon, ordered the pagers and widely distributed them. Many of them went to civilians for legitimate purposes. It’s unreasonable to suggest that these are fair targets because they were briefly in Hezbollah’s control at some point along the chain.
There isn’t one, because this is objectively not true.
Maybe I’m just cynical, but I feel like everyone cancelling is going to forget about this in a few months when the news cycle moves on and a new Star Wars show comes out or something.
Has a disorganized boycott like this ever worked? (honest question)
