I would have responded.
I will have to try that, I didn’t know that functionality existed, thanks!
I’m not a programmer but I do this on the Linux command line all the time to find a command I used days or weeks ago. Or I’ll spend 20 minutes grepping history instead. All to avoid spending 5 minutes reading the manpage so I can remember which flags and arguments I used.
I switched to FF on mobile a few months back and I finally switched to FF on desktop earlier today.
I had been a chrome user for maybe 15 or 20 years? I don’t actually remember when chrome came out but I started using it shortly after.
I’d rather just close the lid and have it not be dead the next time I open it. Sure I could do a proper shutdown if I know I’m done for the day, but in an office running from meeting to meeting that’s not always how things work out.
I’d like the option of choosing between partial sleep and full sleep. When I pack up my work laptop for the weekend it sucks getting to a Monday morning meeting and having the laptop be dead.
I get love letters from my isp whenever I share torrents from public trackers. I’ve never gotten one from a private tracker so I only use private trackers now.
Motherfuckers act like they forgot about Dre.
I agree. It’s the only option for internet in many places. I’m very happy with my Starlink service. I’d drop it in a heartbeat if there was a better option but for now it fits my needs.
This happens to me in the web UI too so maybe it’s not a problem with the app?
I’ve noticed it on lemmy.world, lemmynsfw.com, and lemm.ee.
I legitimately don’t understand how people tolerate using the internet without an adblocker just from a usability standpoint.
Some pages are fine but frequently wandering to new pages on the internet is an experience in frustration.
I use an adblocker. I wouldn’t click on an ad even if I could see it.
