I mean, isn’t that the better way of doing it? One popup, exains everything, gives you the option to opt out in that popup instead of going through settings and shit.

Hah, a line a burger king.
I mean, I would hope literally any phone on the market could survive rain.
Against all odds? This is a game that’s been going on for year, hacker vs Corp, and the hacker always wins. Same shit as anticheat in games, it’s a constant arms race but the hacker is nearly always a step ahead.
That’s not how this kind of thing works, and it depends on where it starts. If it’s 1% of children attempting suicide, which would be a huge amount, a 10% increase is 1.1%, and then for the next year a 10% increase makes it 1.21%, and then 1.33%. This is why when something increases your risk of something by say, 50%, it might mean absolutely nothing if the initial odds are 1 in a billion. 1.5 in a billion isn’t really any more likely.
Aus 10th :D
It could be less wordy, it isn’t perfect. I have definitely run into ones that require going through multiple layers of settings though, so this just seems a lot less bullshit than that.
Looking at the image again, default to not sharing while calling that ‘on’ and being slightly awkward is definitely not an accident and is probably designed to trick people paying no attention at all.
