I’m sorry, but it doesn’t sound like you read the article.
Some salient quotes:
Companies cited a variety of ways they gain access to student digital activity, including browser plug-ins, API integrations and device software.
Many companies collect and flag sensitive data, including students’ private messages and search histories.
So, they work with shady spyware companies to collect private student data, retain it, and then try to sell it to schools.
I, for one, am fucking shocked!

I’m glad it worked. I was going to to rebut all the pessimists in here, saying I’ve done this before, and most ROM copies are identical. (Sites like Retro Achievements rely on ROMs having specific hashes, for example.)

😁 It’s an elite club.

No, not directly. Not any more than your average tech leader who goes to conferences and discusses it.

He invented JavaScript, so definitely don’t use that either. For real. JavaScript sucks.

There was a backup, and it was restored. However, the LLM lied and said there wasn’t at first. You can laugh all you want at it. I did. But maybe read the article so you aren’t also lying.

You didn’t read closely enough.
“Replit QA’s it itself (super cool), at least partially with some help from you … and … then you push it to production — all in one seamless flow.”
Replit is an agent that does stuff for you including deploying to production. If someone don’t want to use a tool like that, I don’t blame you, but it was working as it is supposed to. It’s a whole platform that doesn’t cleanly separate development and production.

Just send an AI selfie problem solved.
Those 4% can make an RTX 5070 Ti perform at the levels of an RTX 4070 Ti Super, completely eradicating the reason you’d get an RTX 5070 Ti in the first place.
You’d buy a 5070 Ti for a 4% increase in performance over the 4070 Ti Super you already had? Ok.

I feel like that’s all you need. You don’t have their apps installed, so the problem is already solved. If you use uBlock Origin to block their trackers, the problem is solved. So you’ve solved it twice.

There’s literally no difference. Each Discord server is like a tiny chunk of Reddit. If anyone expected any privacy on these servers, they’re nuts.

I definitely did! I guess maybe you can see why I was so exasperated. 😳
Question closed as off-topic.
Removed as duplicate of #264826376: “Question closed as duplicate.”
I’m pointing out that questions on SO too often get closed as duplicates of adjacent (but distinctly different) questions, and I did so in the most confusing, recursive way possible.
That’s why I only post questions for bleeding-edge languages and code libraries. I have to answer them myself.

lemmy is just gobbling it up every day. It’s so tiring.
Are you fucking serious? All I ever see on Lemmy is prople saying “AI slop” over and over and over and over again… in like every comment section of every post. It could be a picture that was actually hand-drawn, or a photograph that was definitely not AI, or articles written by someone “sounding like AI”. The AI hate on Lemmy is WAY overpowering any support people on Lemmy have for AI.
The kiosks don’t even let you put onions on a McChicken.
