  • Likewise when theres a company meeting which clearly and simply lays something out and people have questions.

Example: “We are switching payroll providers, This in no way impacts you as all direct deposits have been migrated. You might see a new note on the deposits from the new payroll company.” A bunch of hands go up… Its always the same people

How could you possibly have a question?!

  • I thought the “needs lidar” debate was settled years ago? Lidar cannot read signs. It is also prohibitively expensive to put in vehicles. If you’re going to drive with a neural network you need as much training data as possible, which means as many sensors in as many vehicles as possible.

If your cameras detect something the lidar does not, you trust the cameras, every time. Lidar can very easily misinterperet the world. It works great for simple robots who need to know where walls are and don’t need to specifially identify animals, people, obstacles, speed bumps, construction zones, etc.

Theres also the simple fact that humans can drive just fine without having evolved a lidar sensor.

  • I really want to see someone fund/perform an experiment, that would hopefully put any doubts to rest. It might take 10-20 years to do but it would be worth it:

Create 2 completely shielded rooms. In one of the rooms, completely blast the inside of it with 5G, 4G, All the Gs, Wi-Fi, whatever 24/7. Every single kind of EMR that anyone has doubts of. You can even include future spectrum, whatever. Run it at 3x-5x the amplitude of anything anyone could reasonably expect to come across in the world.

Now, Using only organic and living material (mice, monkeys, plants, single-celled organisms, humans, whatever): confirm which one of them has the EMR turned on. If EMR was dangerous you should obviously see some negative effects. Take as much time as necessary to confirm your findings.

THEN maybe we can stop all this nonsense and point back to the study. Except I know some people would say “You tested 300 GHz, what about 301.5 GHz!!! That one is totally dangerous!”

  • I don’t see how youtube or any private platform should have any obligation to host any kind of content legally.

The problem with free speech is that if you want to have it you have to give it to everyone. Even the morons. And my god are the morons vocal, closed minded and opinionated.

If you leave the videos up, it spreads misinformation. If you take them down, the morons cry censorship and spawn conspiracy theories gaining possibly even more traction. I personally think everyone is entitled to their opinion and should be able to speak freely, but the truth should drown out the lies.

  • I don’t want to make it sound like any racists/homophobes/anti-semites or any hateful people of any sort have any sort of place in modern society or deserve any respect but I think the argument is that even hateful speech is still free speech, and the argument is that the ADL is trying to suppress speech. If other hate groups want to latch on to that its their perogative but I don’t necessarily see how that might make Elon anti-Semetic.

Just my two cents. Take it or leave it. Im going to stay out of this convo from here on out because Pro and Anti-elon as well as pro and anti racists are very vocal and opinionated and I know how these conversations usually end up.
