You can change the audio track but you have to do it on every video. What’s more annoying is it can’t even decide on a language. I’ve had both Spanish videos auto dubbed to English and English videos auto dubbed to Spanish.

If it’s only a couple you can add them to a shortcut or pin them on your clipboard.

Every old phone I’ve had has seen more use than the value of trading it. Most go to a relative then back to me for some secondary use. Plus it’s good to have a backup device in case something happens to your main phone.

MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Technology@lemmy.world•Customers suddenly find their new phones can't make calls or send textsEnglish141·8 months agoExcept they weren’t non-compliant before and this is punishing the users, not the manufacturers. I don’t even know what tech my phone uses for emergency services.
MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Technology@lemmy.world•Customers suddenly find their new phones can't make calls or send textsEnglish141·8 months agoSo to let people know that they won’t have emergency service during an emergency, they prevent them from having ANY service now (24-hour notice). Even if telecom companies behaved perfectly (which they wouldn’t) the initial idea was already a problem.

It kinda depends what you’re looking for. For technical stuff DDG is much better than Google (I don’t know about kagi) but for local information Google still gives better results. Google seems to return what it thinks you want to search for and not what you actually tell it to so for exact searches it’s always worse. If you’re not sure what you’re looking for Google can be better sometimes.

Sadly, I don’t think this is going away.

For some reason it’s just very heavy on my phone, slower than chromium and has frozen android twice. I go back to it every now and then to see if it’s changed but until then there are many browsers that support ad blockers. Kiwi works great for me

Now this headphone form factor is dying so I might go back to wired once they stop working. I hope the jack still exists by then.

MicrowavedTea@infosec.pubto Technology@lemmy.world•Phones should have FM radio againEnglish51·2 years agoIt doesn’t have to be a big emergency, FM can still be very useful. A few years ago there was an earthquake in my city that wasn’t too big but we still had to evacuate the building. I don’t remember any damage in my area but because everyone was trying to make calls there was ZERO cell service. So a bunch of people were gathered around my phone listening to a news station for updates because I was the only one who had brought headphones. Without FM this ability is now lost.
Oh and it fixes the titles too, very nice
