That’s fair but tailscale isn’t a traditional vpn, it makes direct connections between two devices. it was also designed to be extremely easy to setup and it’s free for up to 100 devices.

Strong agree here. You hit on a lot of the core issues on LLMs, so I’ll say my opinions on the economic aspects.
It’s been more than a year since chatGPT released this plague of “slap AI on the product and consumers will put their children down for collateral to buy!” which imo we haven’t seen whatsoever. Investors still have a hard-on for the term AI that goes into the stratosphere but even that is starting to change a little.
Consumers level of AI distrust has risen considerably and consumers have seen past the hype. Wrapping this back around to the CEOs level of power, I just don’t think LLMs are actually going to have enough marketability for general consumers to become juggernaut corpos.
LLMs absolutely have use cases but they don’t fit into most consumer products. No one wants AI washers or rice cookers or friggin AI spoons and shoehorning them in decreases interest in the product.
Those are grow kits not actual mushrooms, it’s more of a grey area although selling spores for growing is expressly illegal.

Skin color is irrelevant when trying to validate information. OP thought information may not be correct and tries to fact check via third party means. Found out THEY were wrong, admit it verbatim in the post, and then tells a story on AI censorship. I would advocate for anyone to validate any information from any private accounts before blindly accepting information to be accurate, especially if you are only doing so because you think someone’s skin color makes their information more or less valid.

To expose your services easily and securely look up tailscale it’s completely free and is setup per device, ex download on your moms phone and you can manage that phones access.
Tailscale uses wiregaurd and some weird ass NAT magic to make every device have direct connections to each other creating a “tailnet”
It’s a zero trust architecture so you have to whitelist every device on it. What that means practically is it’s very difficult to compromise and that’s by it’s nature. You don’t have to have a high technical level to be very secure using tailscale.
There is also twingate which I think is similar but I’m not as familiar with twingate
