That’s especially fun for those of us on motorcycles. I found a particularly horrible road to ride a sport touring bike on several years ago and would have loved this feature on osm.

I have a dual socket R620 with 256gb RAM that I never turn on (proxmox) and another box with a single xeon 1518d (esxi). Collapsing both down to a repurposed Sophos SG135 (atom c3558) with 32g ram, 512gb sata and a noctua fan (proxmox). I already use another sg135 running opnsense. I run mostly lightweight loads anymore (HomeAssistant, netbox, unifi controller) so I really don’t need things turned on that have overkill horsepower. I have a separate file server that I need to upgrade sometime (old 4 core bulldozer amd) but it keeps chugging away.
Are you doing this nas on custom hardware? Curious about the build if so.
Just read a review on Amazon today about a newer brother printer that they’ve instituted a lock out on toner. Was telling a colleague that they were decent enough to not do that… But then I ate my words
I work healthcare adjacent and some providers were affected as expected. Hoping as well that those critical systems were not, but that chance is non zero.
I get this as being a bit of a hurdle, but wouldn’t a good option in hind sight be to create a separate work related apple account based on your work email? I’ve done that in the past with various companies for iPhones and MacBooks. Makes it cleaner to return the device and doesn’t compromise my personal account should they ultimately need my credentials on the non-owned-by-me device.
Agreed. Being in the house and having the shrill component of the blower removed would greatly be appreciated.
They’ll reintroduce the feature with their own ads embedded.
Liberty Liberty liiiberty…liiiberteeeee.
I’m confident that mail and sms show up as the notification icon, but they’re bundled so they all look like one “notification” on the watch face. Not sure on the calendar side - I specifically block a bunch of app pushes to my watch because my phone is mostly a distraction when I work, so I don’t like my watch buzzing for every little thing.
I do get high/low temp on the face, which is very handy. Plus it’s always on (LCD, not OLED) - not as pretty as some, but 5 plus day battery life.
I’m lost - what is a complication? From my initial Google, it does seem like my Garmin can add additional things to the face but I’m still kind of unclear as to what a complication is. For reference I have heart rate, step count, mileage, body battery and weather on my vivoactive3 face.
I’ve got an older AMD bulldozer platform with 16 or so tb behind it. SMB serves up all of the media to Nvidia shield platforms running Kodi. Away, I’ll wire guard in to my network to remotely access media and compute as needed. I’m a big fan of not running a bunch of integrations that would fail at a time I’m just trying to watch something and relax; IT support at home after doing it all day sucks.
