Just trying to create communities on Lemmy.ml to help with the big migration.

Saved you a click.

Discord has forums now.

I know the US is hella behind in payment technologies, but can you tap your phone in NL to pay for toilets? I haven’t carried cash for 15+ years in Canada. If so, I honestly like that system. At least I wouldn’t encounter a group of homeless people shooting up in the timmies bathroom at 8pm.

I forgot that in some countries toilets aren’t free to use. That’s wild!

What? Redditors would pay MORE to change their icon to a swastika. Change the icon back, and charge $50 for a hate symbol and you got yourself a steady income, baby!

Google when someone pays for good reviews: 😴
Google when people are upset at change and rightfully give a negative review: 🤬❌ (mass delete all negative reviews)

Never understood why people get upset for learning. My sister is 33 and has her own business. Every time she writes emails or company ads, she types at a 3rd grade level.
She uses the wrong “there”, says “should of”, etc.
When I try to teach her, she gets angry. Why? Do you want to stay stupid?

I’ll need a subscription to flush my toilet at some point.
It’s called a water bill. You pay it monthly, even if you don’t use any water!

I think every current Lemmy app for Android has a terrible icon lol

Feel sorry for them.
My parents have starlink. Muskrat raised the price less than 1 month after them having it. Then over the next couple months, rolled out a data limit of 1TB per month.
Their speeds also went from 250mbps down and 50mbps up to 10-15mbps down and 5mbps up.
They currently pay $150 per month for bottom of the barrel shit internet that drops signal multiple times per day. When they contacted support, support blamed it on third party routers, despite them using 100% starlink hardware.
Enjoy that, Mongolia.

Lemmy.ml has been messed up for over 24 hours now. Server is overloaded HARD. I can barely use the website, can’t mark messages as read, have to refresh everything 10+ times for it to load, and https://isup.me shows lemmy.ml as down.
Development is hard. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are waiting to see if Lemmy sticks before spending time.
Also they need to make a living some how. I’m sure implementing ads into a Lemmy app right now wouldn’t go over well.
It’s better for them to dust their resume off, update it, and attempt to get a new job before dabbling into making a free app with no revenue streams.

I hate this response.
Mojang also spies on your private server hosted on your own PC with your own internet playing with your own friends.
Mojang shouldn’t get that kind of control. That’s crazy.
Also, does Mojang require photo ID before they ban people for “slurs”? I’m not sure if a black person should get banned for saying the N word on their own private server.
Maybe if Mojang helps pay for my internet bill or my electricity bill they can have control over my private server. Until then, they can kindly screw off.
And the fact they’ve released patches specifically to block mods that remove chat reporting and nothing else goes to show how scummy they are.
Chat reporting should only be enabled on PUBLIC REALM servers hosted by Mojang. That’s really the only place you can justify what they are doing.
People don’t matter. Content matters.
If big content creators leave, you’re going to have 450MM users sitting there looking at a blank screen.
I mean damn, my front page (not signed in) is so empty. I’m seeing the most random weird subreddits that I’ve never seen before, because there’s no other content making it to the front page.
Companies like Mojang (Minecraft devs) pulled out of Reddit today, so now they’ll have to wait for someone to repost all of the news, and have to go to different websites to report issues with the game. I’m sure other companies will eventually do the same.
Not to mention NSFW content is probably going to be really restricted or frowned upon, considering NSFW subs cannot be monitized. That pulls a TON of porn off the platform, which unsurprisingly amounts to a ton of users.
Is Reddit dead? No. But it’s going to drop dramatically in quality. We haven’t even hit July yet. Lots of people are going to be in for a rude awakening when their apps stop working. I know there’s a large amount of people who are very ignorant to all of this, and don’t even know their apps (and porn) are going to be gone July 1st.

Ya the only damage would be from the implosion and shrapnel. Everything else was sitting at the same pressure, so there’s nothing really going on to cause damage.
It’s weird seeing huge pieces that look relatively undamaged. Looks like you can just throw that frame with all the electronics in the spare parts bin and call it a day lol

I think the craziest part is those who know, so they stay on a “safe” version released in 2010…
Nothing like using a 13 year old piece of software despite there being way better up to date alternatives.

Or they’ll feel stupid and try to pretend the official app is great.
A year ago I tried using the official app because people would chat with me, and I would miss them. Lasted about 3 days before I couldn’t handle it anymore. It’s so bad.
Now spez has deleted all my accounts and IP banned me, so I don’t even need to worry lmao.

My favourite are the comments of people saying “return the sub back to normal, this shit is stupid and isn’t doing anything! I don’t even use Apollo so I don’t care” - posted from Boost for Reddit.
A lot of people don’t even understand. They genuinely think this only affects Apollo and that Christian is being a baby lol. Can’t wait to see their faces when their app stops working and they whine.
I have no idea. I didn’t even know they had these until people were suggesting we move to discord from Reddit a couple months ago.
I use discord the same as you. Hop in a voice chat with friends and then close discord. I’ve never used it for anything other than a bloated ass voice chat client lol
Edit: didn’t realize you were a different person. I use discord the same as the other guy I replied to.
