@merde I’d say the same way as routable pedestrian square. Draw the square outline for main tags, and add main flow lines as regular highways crossing it.

OpenStreetMap community@lemmy.ml•Creating Neighborhoods: How to do lots of addresses?
0·2 years ago@gedaliyah Ah gotcha. I can’t think of a way for any tool to find the “next house” as that would depend on multiple criteria. You say 4 steps, have you tried playing with the bottom increment slider? If mapping from scratch you’d usually have no missing housenumber. My workflow is to click on house, K, Enter, repeat until end of one side of the road (odd or even numbers), then onto the other side

0·2 years ago@gedaliyah Why would you need to go on a house more than once?

3·2 years ago@gedaliyah Not entirely automated, but there’s a JOSM plugin for easier input of adresses in a street.

OpenStreetMap community@lemmy.ml•Sharing recorded tracks / imagery for someone else to turn into data?
0·2 years ago@the_third Meeeh, still think that @panoramax could be a good place to host them and make them browsable

OpenStreetMap community@lemmy.ml•Sharing recorded tracks / imagery for someone else to turn into data?
1·2 years ago@the_third Ah, I’m on the other side of the spectrum. Don’t have any time or motivation to go outdoor, but have some freetime for armchair mapping. The thing is, I think one can’t extract every bit of information from captured data, so your best bet would be to upload and share your gpx (OSM) and pictures (Panoramax?). Not sure about the others bits, depends on the format I guess

OpenStreetMap community@lemmy.ml• has resolved one of your map notes – how to do it yourself?
2·2 years ago@Spzi IMO if what you need to do isn’t covered by MapComplete you may already have the knowledge to maintain the data by yourself through your editor of choice. Just make sure to check the wiki to keep your way of tagging up to date

OpenStreetMap community@lemmy.ml•How can I easily map a bus route?
6·2 years ago@MistaJostur @notExactlyI20 IMO that’s the best way right now. Once you’ve added all the stops, and in order to create the route, give Relatify a try. I’ve had good echoes about it

OpenStreetMap community@lemmy.ml•Why do I have to upgrade the tags on every Unmarked Crossing I make in iD?
2·2 years ago@randomaccount43543 @une_abeille My guess is that iD now implements the
crossing:markingsscheme where you would put the type of markings under the new key, whereas thecrossingkey is limited (for now) to controls means
