Practically, a large software development at a company has very different needs and strategic goals than what people usually understand as the “IT guys” so what you mentioned. So they are set up accordingly in an organisation.
For the FP4 they said one of the reasons they remove the aux input was that more people asked them to reduce the size of their phone than to keep the input.

Very often that info is the result of a full conversation:
- I have problem A.
- Try B
- Not, working, I get error C
- Ah, change D in your config
- Now it’s working, thanks.
That means automatation is more complicated, and there’s also the legal aspect.
It’s still very possible, but it probably stops quite a few people that considered this.
I was on “hot” and got it without much scrolling.
