To be fair I put in all my smart lights once 7 years ago haven’t touched them a single time in that entire span. Took an hour to set up.
And now my alarm turns on lights which helps me wake up :D

Basically none, if you want user friendly macro and layers your basically stuck to windows. That or your doing bullshit jank that barely works, breaks frequently and requires way too much effort for no good results.
Its one of the better examples of Linux being dog shit at being user friendly.
The most common excuse I see is it’s not safe and secure so it’s not supported. Or you need to just use an abandoned app from a random GitHub that’s 9 years old only works on x11 and requires a blood sacrifice.
Honestly at this point they actually likely need to be EVEN MORE strict to deal with how bad the app store is and how many scam apps are floating around.
My grand father has been given like 30 scam apks to install via email that we’re just crypto ransomware basically, and he’s had to reformat his phone at least 10 times this year from installing scam shit from the playstore it self too.
Both the playstore AND scammers are target android like crazy
There’s basically no way to crack down on it short of what they are doing and frankly it’s still not enough.
Anyone who thinks this is just Google being evil is massive fucking out of touch with the reality of what elderly and less it savvy people have to deal with. It fucking SUCKS.
And I fucking hate these changes too, but even I cant say it’s enough. There’s too many fucking shit bag assholes ruining all the good things.
Should have just gone back to TeamSpeak 3
Nah, it gets tricked by the first game just as easily lol
Forced arbitration tends to backfire massively when you have something of this scale because of everyone starts doing it. The cost of that forced arbitration is more than what the lawsuits would have been without it. It’s a big reason why like steam got rid of it. If you get too many people trying to go after you, it’s just not worth it and costs too much.
Any time your account gets locked for age reason it requires it. So if you have never had an age lock it’s unlikely you had to do it.
It’s as easy as someone reporting you for being underage with no proof or even just saying “I’m 14 and what is this” as a meme to get locked tho.
Hell the auto flag system can hit you if you just talk like a kid sometimes.
No one gives a single flying fuck about owning their email generally. The number of people who actually care about that aspect basically can be counted on one hand compared to the total number of even technical people who understand what that means.
So what your saying is it doesn’t rely on just one but two massive corps to actually deliver it’s product which is ment to be an alterative to those very products?
Kek
Total paid account is the number that gets counted. That’s what a subscriber is after all.
Palestine isn’t American, it’s some far off place that most people have no connection to, no care for or about. And people generally have enough fucking problems in their own life to care about a place they likely will die before visiting or giving two shits about. So beyond just being yet another random thing the news yaps about to keep people scared. It’s just not important to most people.
While Kimmel himself may not matter to many. The situation does directly affect the world and problem many Americans are worried about. It’s a literal representation of the turmoil that fills many Americans minds.
Not to mention Kimmel is a famous person that people know and have heard of. So his problem actually makes it to the ears of those that will resonate with the problem that his situation is in relation to.
You on the other hand are a literal nobody by comparison that no one but yourself and your immediate group will give any weight to your words.
Not to mention the hell does Palestine have to do with Disney…? That’s an extremely tenuous connection.
Its a shitty fact that just cause something’s important doesn’t mean people can care about it. We all have a limit, and if your own ducks arnt in a row worrying about others is a good way to drive yourself to madness and help no one.
But I am le tired
Rule 1 of McDonald’s it’s better everywhere in the world then America.
This is the entire foundational point Gabe made with steam.
Hell I still get a chuckle when people bitch able steam “drm”. Since it’s entirely optional and can literally be turned off by just adding a text file with the steam ID in basically every case. If it’s even there to begin with
99% of the time the “drm” people bitch about is just the steam overlay dll crashing if steam is off. Cause you know trying to load something that’s off doesn’t really work.
You can literally just remove a single dll from like 95% of steam games and you have an entirely “drm” free game.
Silksong is a great example with how popular it’s been Iv seen thousands of people bitching moaning and crying about how it has drm on steam when it for a fact doesn’t. It just has the single dll so it can use the overlay. Just deleting the dll so it doesn’t load up the overlay and ta-da its fucking drm free.
Likely not, Amazon is a private market place and if their requirements to use it requires the drm his option is very likely use the drm or fuck off.
Not having good publicly controlled legal market places is one of the biggest failings of the internet.
Yep, I could pirate all my books and audio books if I wanted. All it would do is fuck over the author tho.
As much as I hate audible it’s the only legal choice I have for many of the books I listen to. Since basically every other legal option has out of the nearly 500 or so audio books I have less then 50 of them.
It’s annoying.
It is for all functional purposes the same thing.
If you don’t own and control it and someone else does and you have no power or ability to stop them
You don’t own it
To try to draw a line here is pointless in anything but a debate of technicalities and reality doesn’t care about those.
They are glorified toys to be blunt. Cellphones just require too much proprietary tech and licensing. Shits never goanna be viable as anything more than a hobbyist toy.
If you already use your phone as nothing more then a toy then it’s a easy switch. But most people don’t.
Damn reading is hard
It’s a tiny mistake that literally has no effect at all on the over all message of the video. It’s a fun “huh” moment to realize what’s actually happening. But nothing more.
