Now that’s something interesting. Does it work with piped?
Had good memories with this ngl

That headline reads like a tongue twister

“Haha April fools”

Think there’s also an official emulator from android studios but I could be wrong
I rather buy used ssds off eBay from a known brand.
I guess it really depends on your area. I hear stories that it’s the bee’s knees and then other ones where the signal is so congested, especially if using a mvno. Personally I’m sticking with 4g, in my area 5g is about the same in speed unless you want to stay up til like 4am to get a decent boost.

Ba dum tss lmao

He has mix feelings about it…that’s it
Regardless of where you get your secondhand drives do yourself a favor and make sure they package them correctly (antistatic bag, 1-2inches of bubblewrap and a cardboard box) by messaging for that. That’s my biggest complain when I brought used drives. Think Serverpartdeals and goharddrive are the main eBay sellers with great reps but I sadly haven’t done business with them so can’t verify

Don’t own an android TV or box but can you really not change the default launcher natively?

Fuck but I do have totp already enabled should I just change my password?
Edit: my paranoia got to me I’m gonna just reset my totp seeds and change my password. Some of the info was fake so that’ll protect me a bit. Guess that’s the best you can do for now
Edit 2: they made it a pain in the ass to change your password apparently now they favor only 20 characters max (rip my 35 character password). A nice warning on their website would’ve been really helpful

As a newb I hope one day in my journey, I can look back at this and say “I finally understand this.” Til then thank you, magic man

Damn they just keep coming up with shit ideas one after the other

Yeah that’s a possibility but that massively depends on the level of surveillance the journalist is under but lets assume moderate. With that in mind, the only method I can think of would be physically hiding the drive/s in the other house (more paperwork needed for the alphabet people) in a place that would still be accessible, with permission of the owner of course. Don’t know how thorough raids are at looking for stuff but I can think of a couple places that may be sufficient if its poor to moderate job. Be screwed if they’re combing the entire place though so the journalist would have to rely on encryption

In fairness their electronics were taken by the FBI so they at least had something besides Google. In hindsight the offsite backup would of protected them from both the FBI and Google if they stored them at a trustee’s home

Damn didn’t even think about that. Do you think they at least encrypted their files?

Goddamn hope this story gets somebody at google’s attention. Off topic, even though it was mentioned in the article, what ended up happening to the dad’s account, was it reinstated? I can’t find an update

Iirc the chipset, QCM6490, will lose support after 2028 meaning the device will get at least 5 years of security updates and not the promised 8. Pretty sure that’s why grapheneOS doesn’t/won’t support it since the company doesn’t keep to their promises
Edit: found grapheneOS’ response again I’m not saying Fairphone is a bad company but the way they are advertising the fp5 seems kinda shady IMO based on the specs of the device. At most you’ll get partial updates after 5 years since Qualcomm will drop support which is still great but don’t assume your device will be as safe as a fully updated device. Then again fairphone may commit to extending the life of the QCM6490 but not sure if they’ll be capable of that so we’ll just have to see. I apologize to anyone who got offended for some reason I was just expressing my opinion based on the track record of the company and the specs of their device
Happens a lot with car rke fobs, I usually have to replace the housings and buttons all together for a permanent fix. I tried the super glue and aluminum foil method and it temporarily works. Nothing I used to attach the aluminum to the worn button pad really results in a long term fix though (super glue, silicone, epoxy, hot glue). Is this a better solution?
