Better luck next time, I guess.

Contracted to a private corporation, of course.

In my city a program of speed cameras was instituted about a decade ago. A private speed camera corporation lobbied the city to install, maintain and administer the system. Whoever it was that they bribed to approve it did so and the system was installed. For the first year it brought in a bunch of money extorted from the citizens. Then the revenue dropped below the minimum amount that the corporation wrote into the contract as their cut (people figured out where all of the cameras were). At that point the system was costing the city money rather than generating revenue as the corporation had promised. So they started using mobile cameras. This worked for a short time but the blowback was sharp. In the end the system was scrapped.

Phone sex is sex. Phone sex with an ai is still sex.

Yes but thr farther they get from the protected the less oversight.

Pretty sure the secret service is responsible for protecting Trump. The rest of his campaign security is the job of the campaign, which is famously cheap.

Sounds like time for some 3rd party bios flash…

I’m using the z-library app. It does the searching for me :)

Israel leaning hard into fascism.

Iirc ghenkis khan has everyone else beat.

They know what they are doing. They want the land, but first they need to kill all of the people living there.
This is not coincidence. This is policy.

Anybody have a source for large bodies of garbage text to poison my WordPress with?

If you’re sitting there taking notes it is obvious what you’re doing and the users of the machine can opt out of using it. With hidden cameras, not so much.

Different battery chemistries have different charging requirements. So you’d have to have more complex charger/battery interaction requirements. Not insurmountable but another layer of standardization

Yeah! Gorillas are endangered!

Given that industry likes deceptive trade names- ‘plexiglas’ for instance- transparent wood will probably be known as ‘lignoglass’ or some such nonsense.

Glass can be toughened up a bit by tempering, at a cost. It can be toughened up a lot by other methods up to being made bulletproof at costs both financial and in terms of compromises to clarity and adding a lot of thickness.
The question is whether ‘transparent wood’ can compete with glass in performance and cost.
How’s the weather in Moscow this time of year?
