So my Proxmox homeserver is running out of storage and all of my sata ports are taken, so I guess getting more sata ports is the best solution, but I have no clue which ones are good. I’m fine with paying a little more if that means having good drivers and a stable experience. I plan to use it with harddrives so performance does not need to be top notch.

I came across the ASM1166 that I can get with six ports for under 40€ is it any good?
