Age verification proposals are often presented as a simple tradeoff: sacrifice a little privacy to better safeguard children online. But that framing overlooks a more fundamental question. What happens to people who cannot verify their age at all? This is particularly a problem when users are required to prove their age with identity documents.

You are part of the problem. Congratulations, you played yourself.
My bad for wanting people to held accountable for spreading misinformation
U dont held people accountable cause it s the internet and we are 8 billion on earth. And who are you to decide what is and what is not perceive fault that should create consequence ? It s a nightmare to abord that issue this way except if you need full control. In my country we have an agence that s independant and can launch pursuit and put ppl on watching. It work cause they are qualified to know what is and what is not worth of being concern by online. They work with public tips. This work cause they are working this issue while respecting civils right and while not being big corpo playing the cops. Nobody argue u shouldn’t have consequence for your actions. Ppl argue that treating everybody as potential criminal to violate their right isn’t a good approach to legislation.
