Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew over Greece, Italy, France and Canada on Thursday on his way to address the UN, despite an International Criminal Court warrant for his arrest.
The ICC issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in November 2024, on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Gaza since October 2023.
Netanyahu arrived in the US for a short visit to address the UN General Assembly in New York, where Mayor Zohran Mamdani has said he does not have the authority to arrest the Israeli leader.

I’m well aware of that, but what do you actually expect to happen when that gets ignored? Threaten a plane carrying the leader of a nuclear power? That’ll go well.
I’d also love to see him in handcuffs but escalation is obviously unproductive when he can’t be safely arrested and planes requesting permission is only a courtesy when there are no consequences to defiance.
Do you really think Israel would nuke France if they grounded his plane?

What does “safely arrested” fucking mean? You’ve already declared that no country can use force against him, so he can just say “no” if any country tried to arrest him. He could literally hike through these countries and, according to you, there’s nothing they can do about it.
