    I don’t like Apple. I find their UI to be hard to use and counter-intuitive. Their walled garden / vendor lock-in is a model of monopoly behavior that is terrible.

    However, unlike most other US tech giants when you use their stuff you are the customer, not the product. It is in Apple’s interest to keep their customers happy.

    So on one hand it is surprising that they would upset their customers like this.

    However, capitalism dictates that if their is also a chance of making money by making you both the customer and the product, Apple has to take it.

    So on the other hand completely unsurprising. 😅

      as a public company, it was bound to happen. shareholders ultimately come before the customer. Just because they weren’t the product, doesn’t mean apple actually cares about the consumer

      Oh that was some good capilitist propaganda. Apple wants to keep customers “happy”. Oh I get tickled thinking people are naive enough to believe this crap. Thanks for making my day.
