Honestly, if you have the money, just get a Superfeeder. I have 2 of them for my cats and I love them.

Basically, they’re like an enterprise version of a consumer grade cat feeder. Completely no nonsense, all physical adjustments, and super customizable. I have them hooked up to my home assistant install (via smart plugs) to be able to better control when the cats get fed (because the little piggies would over eat if I let them) and ensure the automations run as expected (which is great for those with pet anxiety). I’ve had mine for 4 years (and 2 sets of kitties) now, and it’s a breeze to change settings when you have to change foods, if a bit fiddly to dial in how much you’re giving them.

All good, that was more a recommendation that was supposed to be at the top level

Glad you’re happy with your setup tho!

It hasn’t. It works using a rotating shaft and an adjustable/non fixed flap. As the shaft turns, it moves the flap and food falls into the feeding bowl.

I have 0 complaints about them, other than it doesn’t tell me when the food is low, but that’s not even close to a feature it offers.
