Guys, now that Spotify’s Premium mod has been down for about two months, and since Xmanager and Revanced have received a copyright notice, it’s hard for me to believe that there could be a functional mod version, at least on the visible part of the internet. Does anyone know of a version that works for free and is malware-free?"

There’s an interesting one called “Spotifuck” for Android that’s a wrapper around the web player. Somewhat janky at times but it works!

You could try refreezer which is a mod of deezer. Allows you to download locally. Not the highest quality you can get but it’s convenient and free

Might be different but just use soulseek and torrent the songs you will get much higher quality, and you can access without internet, if you want streaming go to gravitywell.xyz and ask gravitas on matrix to make you an account on his navidrome it has many songs on it and its amazing

I don’t really get soulseek, why does it have to be it’s own software? I think it should just be a public tracker website and you download torrents to your bit-torrent client of choice.

It works a bit differently than torrents instead of pulling parts from a lot of peers it pulls the entire file from one peer, and it has a centralized search

I second this, particularly slskd, Navidrome and Beets for the server, Symfonium for the client. Lidarr and Tubifarry would be nice to grab new releases but it’s not functioning very well.

Industry-wise, seriously just use Tidal, it’s cheaper by way of better value. Tidal has had CD quality (24bit 44.1kHz, 1411kbps) as a base and 320kbps mp3 minimum since before Spotify started promising they’ll add HiRes soon while offering 320kbps as a maximum.

The only reason someone would prefer Spotify is its partnership with three mainstream smart speaker brands, whereas Tidal is partnered with just one, Sonos. Bluesound too, but that’s more niche

Until Youtube also starts knocking down every third party client one by one, I think the best option is to download music…
