I get 403 when I try to use it. I normally use
ytdl-subandyoutubedl-material, but those stopped working so I tried doing it just straight from the command line, and it doesn’t work anywhere.Try updating. I got that a few days ago using an old version, and updating fixed it.
Oh man, you’re my hero. All the docker containers update automatically, but I stopped trying them because of the issues and kept trying manually. It’s working now! Thank you!
Excellent. I just use the CLI executable directly and update it as it breaks. Wasn’t even aware there were Docker versions of it lol.

yt-dlp supports passing on cookies from your browser, oncw you’ve logged in at least once.
There’s also GrayJay on Android.

I’ve been using pinchflat which is essentially a front end for yt-dlp and it’s been working fine for me. Mind you, i have all YouTube traffic from pinchflat running through a vpn to a different country so but that’s because that system also sails the high seas 🏴☠️😂

I think I read awhile ago YouTube is testing a change that renders programs like yt-dlp completely useless, but I’m fuzzy on the detail
