Trump’s heresy was not literally true, but it was grounded in a fundamental truth that has been denied to Americans so the national security state could bilk them for billions.
Great, the Russian propaganda bots have arrived in the fediverse.
That’s not really a thing in the fediverse.
- Matt Taibbi: Move Over, Jayson Blair: Meet Hamilton 68, the New King of Media Fraud The Twitter Files reveal that one of the most common news sources of the Trump era was a scam, making ordinary American political conversations look like Russian spywork
- Jacobin: Why the Twitter Files Are in Fact a Big Deal On the Left, there’s been a temptation to dismiss the revelations about Twitter’s internal censorship system that have emerged from the so-called Twitter Files project. But that would be a mistake: the news is important and the details are alarming.

I’ve had this guy tagged as a Tankie for quite a while. Recommend y’all do the same
They’ve been here for a while.
Lemmy.ml is full of propaganda in general
Uh-huh. Maybe learn about the history of propaganda and develop real media literacy.

Even though your links may be valid, they’re not contributing to the conversation in the sense that you didn’t provide any argument.
Do you mean to say lemmy.ml isn’t full of propaganda and I should leárn about media literacy, or you think it might be full of propaganda and that’s why I should learn about media literacy? Or maybe you just wanted to share the links, idk.
I mean to say that, just because you don’t notice the propaganda on other instances, and in popular media in general, doesn’t mean it’s not there. You may just see it as “common sense.”
📺 Hegemony of Common Sense:Interview Of Dean Manders
Class domination is effectuated more by the mystification of consciousness—the distortion, the obfuscation, the redirection of thought and ideas—than through force or even the threat of force. Of course, force is always in the background—it’s always there. […] If you can mystify people, if you can get people to participate in their own “subjugation,” you’ll get people to become their own worst enemies, you’ve won. And you’ve won without any police forces, military forces, or whatever.
Some people are so propagandized that if trump says water is wet they will say its dry
Yes, russia started the war. Thanks for just saying it.
Y’all wackos can say whatever you want about how ukraine was wearing a hot dress or whatnot. It doesn’t matter.
https://tankie.tube/w/8oEAyZfQY6SwqpYmoEkWxJ libs and minimizing genocide. Name a more iconic duo.
Y’all can pretend this is analogous to any sort of abuse to obfuscate the fact that you refuse to learn a single fucking bit of history regarding the war, but the intervention was legal under Ukrainian law itself. States have a right to secede via referendum, did so after the US funded nazi coup, and begged Russia to stop the indiscriminate shelling of civilians by the maidan regime that ensued for almost a decade after.
Several peace agreements had been reached to stop Ukraine from bombing civilians, but the ultra right within the Ukrainian army refused to abide by them. There’s videos of Zelensky ordering them to do it and them treating him like an irrelevant idiot.
Please don’t post articles that are behind hard paywalls, or if you do, paste in the relevant parts of it.
people put things like THAT behind paywalls?
@schnurrito@discuss.tchncs.de One can read for free.
how did everyone access the article?
I would like to know if its the same tired 40 year old argument on “sphere of influence” or actually something interesting at least from the “intellectual elasticity” point of view?

Ukraine openly stated they want nukes and nato membership.
And Russia quickly demonstrated why they were right to want such things.
How would the US react if Mexico wanted nukes from Russia?
like it did with cuba
Given that the US has already been telegraphing that they want to invade Mexico I would not blame Mexico for looking at all available options to defend themselves.
Ok but how would the US react if Mexico wanted nukes from Russia?
TIL defending yourself from the evil empire (Amerikkka) is bad.
Explain to me how Ukraine wanting to join an alliance that includes the US is anyone trying to defend themselves from the US.
The US couped Ukraine’s government, installed a puppet regime, continuously built up a military presence right next to Russia’s least defensible point (going so far as to have massive wargames in Ukraine), and violated all of the agreements that were meant to deescalate the situation. The alliance in question has only ever been used to invade and demolish countries that dare not kiss the burger reich’s ring despite that alliance ostensibly being for defense against foreign aggression.
@unmagical@lemmy.ml
Nukes in the hands of the madman coke addict Zelenskyy?! Yeah, right — really thought that through, didn’t you? 🤦🏽♂️
Well them are some outrageous unfounded claims. Ya got any evidence of that beyond a doctored interview and some Russian funded Cameos?
I agree with no nukes for coke addicts, Trump should be impeached.
Russia is the victim here. Stop victim blaming and projecting your victim blaming on your opponents.
I really thought you were being down voted for an obviously sarcastic comment. Read your post history and then realised that you haven’t been downvoted enough. So let me help with that
