I am looking for a tablet that will function as a dedicated RSS reader (no video or gaming). Here is my ideal feature set:
- Comfortable reading screen (OLED preferred)
- Matte
- 90hz+
- Wireless charging
- 8-10" size
I have been looking far and wide and I’m certain nothing exists that meets even two of the criteria (matte screen is rare and wireless charging is almost nonexistent in tablets)
Also, no e-ink devices please I already have one that’s not quite what I’m looking for.

Add wireless charging case and/or matte screen protector to your favorite tablet.
There’s the samsung tab S9 but it’s expensive and not exactly what you’re looking for. It’s 11", has a high resolution 120Hz AMOLED screen, and I can vouch that it’s really premium. You can put on a matte screen protector if you hate reflections.
The problem is that a 90Hz+ oled screen is almost exclusive to high-end tablets, so it’s best if you find one used or refurbished if you’re just going to use it for reading.
Well any OLED screen would probably work for you then if you’re just looking for a screen with no other media or sound. I personally don’t think OLED is anywhere near as comfortable for reading as e-ink, and they have new color screens for those with faster refresh rates now. Matte screen is almost exclusive to e-ink, so that’s going to be near impossible for you to match. Wireless charging is standard in all Samsung and Apple tablets afaik. If not, you can get a case that does this, and probably a matte screen protector for cheap as well.
Just wait for something to go on sale and grab whatever you like.
