You can try blocking instances made specifically to mirror reddit. I think there was one called lemmit, I don’t know if it’s still around
Changelog
This release addresses another security advisory related to internal host access. You can now bypass these checks for federation, in order to federate with instances over the local network by setting environment variable DANGER_FEDERATION_ALLOW_LOCAL_IP=1. There are also some bug fixes, and lemmy-ui now logs file requests.

You just open an issue on github, as the other comment said: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues
You can also talk to the devs on their matrix channels, but github is simpler.

isn’t this the whole point of this community? ._.

tell him to automate these nuts

lol, this is kinda confusing.

sorry. I was talking about the comments on the youtube video.

Some people are saying in the comments that the video is AI generated (or that it uses AI somehow). Was anybody able to identify the AI components? Am I finally an old man for not being able to differentiate between AI and real life anymore?

fuck my life
wth, the AI gooners are real 💀
Good point, they could give us the option to toggle between infinite scroll or not.
I mean, sure. It’s easier to do it on them since they usually have a lot of open source apps that allow disabling infinite scroll. I believe it’d be easier for the EU to regulate the major platforms because the number of platforms would be just a handful, which is easier to enforce.
I use the lemmy web because it doesn’t have infinite scroll, and the version 1.0.0 will allow to select the number of posts the user wishes to see on his feed. Looks pretty cool, you can see here: voyager.lemmy.ml
Infinite scroll is one of the biggest cancers of the modern digital era. I’d be so happy if this ended on all major platforms.

The exec behind that needs to be homeless
god bless 🙏

I’d recommend getting a steam deck
Nah. I want the 15.6 inch screen screen and the keyboard and touch pad that comes with it. The steam deck is too small and I think it’s a little expensive here (Valve is not officially selling in Brazil as far as I know).
EDIT: didn’t see you already mentioned them not being sold here. I think no third world country has the deck being officially sold for them.
I think you can try opening an issue on github https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues about lemmy posts not displaying every picture you posted on mastodon.
I don’t know if they’ll be able to solve it alone, I believe they’ll need to talk to someone responsible for mastodon for a collaboration perhaps.
I see. Looks like mastodon handles the pictures like an image gallery/carousel. Maybe this is a problem with the ActivityPub protocol, perhaps the mastodon and lemmy team can talk to figure how to better integrate the federation on this point (assuming it’s possible)
I just clicked your profile and was able to see it here. It loads normally on the sh.ijust.works instance too.
Are you using a third-party app? Is it the default lemmy web interface? I think we need a little bit more detail to help you.
