I’m properly in awe at this project. Not only does it support a wide range of protocols and runs practically everywhere, but it can play audio, video, display images and has keyboard shortcut support ???
It’s got everything I could think about and so much more.
I can’t wait to try it out !

I have a rough idea of their efficiency as I’ve used them, not in professional settings but I wager it would not be too different.
My point is more that it feels like the rugs are finally starting to get pulled. This tech is functionnal as you said, it works to a point and that point is enough for a sizeable amount of people. But I doubt that the price most people are paying now is enough to cover the cost of answering their queries. Now that some people, especially younger devs or people who never worked without those tools are dependant on it, they can go ahead and charge more.
But it’s not too late, so I’m hoping it will make some people more aware of that kind of scheme and that they will stop feeding the AI hype in general.
Hopefully (?) this is the start of a trend and people might begin to realize how all those products are not worth their price and AI is an overhyped mess made to hook users before exploiting them…

Full disclaimer : I’ve only ever used stalwart. Started with it and had no reason to change.
Been using it for about a year as a mail server for my services.
The set up is simple, configuration can be done through the webui or the conf files.
Creating users, mails, aliases etc is very straight forward.
Everything is pretty much painless, the documentation has almost everything you might need.
You can also configure automatic cert renewal.
Something else I really like is that when you add a domain (you can have multiple) it also gives you the DNS configuration to add to your DNS server.
Honestly I’d say it’s a solid choice. On my side it’ll be part of futur projects where a mail server is needed.
J’attends encore de voir l’utilité et l’efficacité, j’ai de l’espoir, on pourrais en tirer du bon si c’est pour assister. En revanche je suis quasiment certain que ça vas être utilisé pour d’autres taches et que ce sont les demandeurs d’emplois qui vont en faire les frais…
Au moins c’est une boite d’IA française…

AI users implies they are deployed and managed by the a company and can be configured to push ideas and agendas.
This is quite a big problem imo…
Can anyone enlighten me as to what the hell Mozilla is going to do with that kind of telemetry as it’s not even tied to anyone ?
I’ve seen it refered to as AGI bit I think itns wrong. Chat GPT isnt intelligent in the slightest, it only makes guesses on what word is statistically more likely to come up next. There is no thikinking or problem solving involved.
A while ago I saw an article that with a tittle along the lines of “spark of AGI in ChatGPT 4” because it chose to use a calculator tool when facing a problme that required one. That would be AI (and not AGI). It has a problem, it learns and uses available tools to solve it.
AGI would be on a whole other level.

Sur Amazon (wi c mové toussa) t’as une super extension pour navigateur qui s’appelle Keepa, elle permet de voir l’historique des prix et de savoir si c’est sur un prix haut ou bas pour le produit. Très pratique pendant les soldes etc et pour savoir si la réduc affiché par rapport au prix “original” est si substantielle que ça.
I ended up going with Crowdsec.
The setup was a bit of a challenge as I like to do it the RTFM way abd that there is a bunch of concepts to grasp before you really understand what you are doing, but since then it’s been working pretty great ! And it’s free (as in you are providing them with data on the occurence of threats etc, so you don’t pay)
